From: "Robert Sciefyr" Subject: The Book Of Centauri Prime: Spoilers seasons 4 and 5 Date: Mon, 9 Aug 1999 21:59:54 -0300 Hi people! This is my first posting to this list, and I chose to write a story similar to some I saw on the homepage, which had extracts from that holy book in The Deconstruction of Falling Stars. Enjoy! Robert Sciefyr EXTRACTS FROM THE BOOK OF CENTAURI PRIME /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ And so it came to pass, that in the Year Victorious, shortly before the beginning of The Great War, while Cartagia the Mad sat on the throne of the Centauri Republic. And Cartagia the Mad did execute all who opposed him, and did cause great worry among the great ones of his planet. And one day, did the Shadows come to Centauri Prime, in the form of he who cursed Mollari the Cursed, Morden the Dark. And Cartagia did grant an island to the Shadows, and when this was heard of by Mollari, he did seek to destroy Cartagia. Mollari did summon others to his side, and among these was one Vir Cotto, destined to be the rebuilder of Centauri Prime, and G’Kar the Enlightened, who did concede to be tortured in all hideous manners by the Mad Emperor, including having his all-seeing eye removed, and being struck three times thirteen times by the lightning whip. And when the time came, G’Kar caused an uproar, and Mollari approached the Mad Emperor to slay him with the nightjuice. But alas! The nightjuice flew from Mollari’s hand, and all seemed lost. But Vir of the House Cotto did reach the nightjuice, and saved the plan fom failure by his slaying of Cartagia /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Mollari the Cursed was inhabited by a Devil, and most heinious sins did he commit whilst it possessed him. However, though he had caroused with the Darkness, and destoyed his world, yet did he defy the Devil in the end and resist it, allowing G’Kar the Enlightened to slay him. However, in desperation, the Devil did make Mollari kill the Enlightened, and all, in the end, came to goodness. For by Mollari’s sacrifice did Cotto the Restorer come to the throne, and he did undo all the evil that darkness had wreaked. A new Centauri Prime arose from the ashes of the old, and the Shadowspawn were destroyed, every last one of them driven off Centauri Prime into the blackness of eternal punishment. Cotto did also reaffirm ties with the Alliance, and wisely called those who had been his friends in youth to aid him, among these being Zakarius Allenis, a wise human who did aid the Restorer in various capacities. And so did Centauri Prime fare in the years from the Year Discovery to the Eighteenth Ascension, from discovery to war to light to darkness and back to light. And it has taught us that peace must rule us, for war shall destroy us, and it has taught us also that even the cursed can be blessed, and that evil intentions can pave the way to heaven.
