From: Laura Hale Subject: Corwin loved her (1/1) Date: Sat, 15 Feb 1997 02:51:19 -0600 Found out one of my two stories wasn't that bad after all. I mean in my corwin set. Never mind. Please comment. Corwin Loved Her written by Laura Hale fluffer@prodigy.net David Corwin frowned. He'd lost his nerve back there. He'd blown his only chance of a relationship with Commander Susan Ivanova. He loved her. He'd die for her... If only she knew he was alive. Maybe he should... no. She'd just get angry at his choice to do that. It would blow her mind that he'd like and she'd probably get a fury and chase him around b5 trying to blow his minds out... Not that he wouldn't mind, but he valued his life. Ahe heck he loved her so much and just because he worked under her meant he wasn't given an eyeballs shot of dating her. Damn. Maybe he should have taken that promotion awhile back to be a lituent commander at Io. Maybe she would have noticed his absence if he'd left. Then again, she was so self absorbed sometimes, he seriously doubt she would notice if the whole shift dissapeared, so long as the station was running smoothly. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ David was lingering in the hallways of blue sector. He planned on meeting with one of the narns he'd become aquainted with since she'd started working in security and worked in this cooridor. As his mind was straying to rather nice idea that involved Susan Ivanova a centari ambled up to him. "Planning on meeting a Narn named G'ton? She died tragically this afternoon. She mentioned something about meeting a human assA9hole before she died. I just thought you should know. David stared at the centari for a second before sputtering out "What the hell does that mean? If you killed her you Centari SOB, I'll have your neck A9 " David sputtered to a stop as the commander roundeda bend in the coridioor. "You'll what? " Replied the Centari. "I can kill you as easily as I killed the stupid narn, if not easier. Do you need a demonstration?" He asked. The Centari and the commander were totally unaware of each other until the Centari noticed his eyes flicking towards the Commander who was quickly approaching from behind. The centari reached over and behind himself to grab the commander. David had an idea that the commander was in serious trouble A9 that this centari was not sane. The Centari angled his fingers over the commanders neck, his other hand already clamped to her mouth and his legs positioned to avoid being knocked over. David had no choice as what to do. He loved Susan Ivanova and even if it wasn't mutual he had to save her life. He set his feet firmly and prepared to launch himself at the centari. The commander's eyes were wide open. The Centari pulled a PPG out of his cloak. He aimed it at the commander's head. Time felt like it was standing stull. He was about to pull the trigger so David launched himself at the arm holding the PPG. David got between the PPG and the commander. The PPG went off and a body fell limpD4blew the Centari Bastard straight to hell. When the Security team arrived at the scene they found two dead bodies and a distraught commander. It turned out the Narn wasn't dead rather she had been locked up in the centari's quarters for "safe keeping". Only when Susan Ivanova had time to think later in the day did it occur to her that David Corwin had loved her, or at leasted lusted for her. She cried. She'd dumped on the guy so often and he had, in the end, saved her life. It was sad. It was scary and it was amzing. It never occured to her that some one would die for her. It was scary but also provided hope, hope for the future, hope for peace and hope for love. If one could lie down his life for some one else who didn't love him back, then the chance of succeding was greatly increased. She took her scotch and dedicated it to David and to Victory.
