From: Terra White Subject: The Dream Given Form Date: Mon, 22 Jul 1996 21:18:52 -0500 Okay. Here is a new story for all of you. It's been checked by someone other then me so hopefully it's free of errors.(yea right, we're human after all) ;) Anyway this story is set after WWE. It's after Garibaldi has excepted Sinclair's decision.(only on the outside. You know he will still struggle with it.) But the pressure is getting to Sharidan. Hope you like it. Warning: might have WWE spoilers in the future.:) Terra -Space Ace- twhite@nemonet.com The Dream Given Form Pt. 1/? "I need to dock somewhere *now* Captain." The Centauri said. "Well then park it up your @$$." the frustrating builing in his voice. "You have just arrived. There are others before you. And if you give my people trouble again, I'll shoot you out of space. C and C out." Ivanova walked in on that last statment. "I should space all the damn Centauri. Maybe that will calm things down." he slambed his hand on the controls. "Captain!?" she was suprised to see him at the controls. She had left Lt. Crowin in charge. "What Commander." she yelled back. "Uh, I can take over." she jumped back a little. She had never seen him that mad before. "Fine." he stormed out the door. She looked around at the others. They had looks of suprise on their faces as well. "What happen to him." she asked them. "A Centari demanded to speak with him, then told him they had to dock. He just snaped." Lt. Crowin said. She walked up to the controls and put in a call to the doctor. *This is getting out of hand.* "Yes." nurse Shadreen ansered. "Uh, tell the Doctor he needs to check on the Captain. He is realy on the edge." "I'll do that Commander." "Thanks. Ivanova out." *Well, time to get back to work. I hope the Captain will be alright* Sharidan walked down the corridor not sure where he was going. He would walk a little way then punch the wall. He had just rounded a corner and saw Delenn. *Not now, not when I'm like this.* She saw him hit the wall the last time. "Are you all right John." she had a worried look on her face. He looked down and saw that his hand was bleading. He may have also broken a finger. *Great how am I going to explain this.* "Yes Delenn, I'm fine." he said a little too harshly. "You should have that checked out." she said gently grasping his hand. Just then a pain shot through his hand. He grimaced, trying not to jerk his hand from hers. Just then his link went off. *Great how am I going to answer that with a bum hand.* he looked up at Delenn. "Um, Delenn could you activate my link for me." he held his other hand to her. "Sharidan, go." "Captain I would like you to come to Medlab. I need to talk to you." "Fine, I gotta come down anyway. Sheridan out. Thank you Delenn." he started to walk off without her. "John if you do not mind, I'll walk with you." she didn't like seing him like this. "Fine." he managed to say. He looked over at her a few times noticing how lovely she looked. Her presence seemed to relax him a little. Walking into Medlab the doctor saw what the captain meant. Blood was dripping from his hand. "So what happened here." he said cleaning it off. "I punched the wall a few times." The doctor gave him a puzzling look. Finnishing the bandages, he went to check Sharidans file. Last vacation, before being appointed here. *Well I know whats going to happen now...* "Captain I have gotten complaints about you." he said neutrally. "Oh yeah, what about?" he gave the doctor an annoyed look. "Your attitude lately. You have been under a lot of pressure, so you have two weeks of vacation, off station. Staring now." "I don't think so Doctor. I have way to many things to do." he said agrivated. "Yes Captain you will." The doctor raised his voice. "If I have to, I will pull my rank as Chief Medical Officer to make sure you do." "You wouldn't dare, *Doctor*." he was plain mad now. "Try me." he said then walked off. "Great, just great." he had forgot Delenn was with him. "Can you beleive that." He said with an angry look. "Well, John you have been a little..." "Yes, yes." he looked down and knew what she was going to say. "Vacation, I never liked vacation. At least not scence..." he looked at her. She had a look of understanding on her face. "Uh, I got to go pack." he got up and left. She decided not to follow. She didn't want him mad at her. *Oh how I wish I could take the pain and anger away from you John.* She walked out of Medlab and went to her quarters. Marcus saw what happen in Medlab with the captain while talking to a nurse. He left and put a call through to Rathenn. "Yes two weeks. Off station." Marcus said again. "He must have someone with him. But who..." Rathenn responded. "I have an idea..." "What is it Marcus." "Have Delenn go. She can keep an eye on him. Plus, she would be the only one he would take." "I believe as she does about the prophecy." *that could be good but..* "Do you not need her there." he questioned. "Not as long as Michael and Susan are here." "Fine then. Give her the word. Good bye Marcus." the screen went blank. Marcus went to Delenn's quarters. A muffled 'come' was herd and he walked in. She was huttled on the couch, and he went over to her. "Delenn! What's wrong." he was concerned. "Nothing Marcus. What is it that you want." she did not raise her head. "I have just spoken to Rathenn. He knows of the Captain's vacation and wants you to go with him." Her head flew up. "What for?" she said wiping the tears away. "To keep an eye on him. He has been...distant as of late." he hoped that would be enough. "I will go, If he accepts me." she stood and turned away. "Thank you Delenn." he said bowing, then left. *It would be nice to get away for a wile. Even better with John. He does need this time.* John was in his quarters looking through reports when the door chimed. He shuffled arround the sheets and put them away. "Come." he watched as Delenn walked in. A frown was replaced by a grin and he stood and he stood to greet her. "Delenn, what can I do for you." he waved towards the couch for her to sit down. "I was wanting to know if I may go with you on your vacation?" He wasn't sure what to say. Him and her alone for two weeks. *This will cause a lot of questions.* "Um sure, but what about your duties?" "I think Lennier can handle it." she gave him a smile. "Okay, can you be ready in an hour? That's when I'm supposed to leave." "Yes, I will meet you at the shuttle." she said then left. John just sat there shocked. *Is this really happening.* he pinched himself. *Yep, I guess so.* He went to his desk and opened the right hand drawer. Inside were papers and a small box. He reached in and picked up the box, then opened it. There was a crystal inside. He put the crystal into the reader, and saw the planet he wanted to go to. He made two copies before putting a call to Garibaldi. "Garibaldi, go" "Michael, I need to talk to you. Where are you at now." "Security Central. What's up?" "I'll tell you when I get there." he shut off the link and went to Security Central. When he walked in Garibaldi had his feet proped up, looking into the monitor with a grin on his face. Then he chuckled. "What are you looking at?" "Daffy Duck and Marvin, they're so crazy." he chuckled again. Shaking his head Sheridan handed a crystal to Garibaldi. "What's this?" "Where I will be on the vacation, just in case I'm needed." "Right. Thanks Cap'n" he put the crystal in his pocket. "Anything else?" "Nope." Sheridan walked out and went to the Zocalo. He needed to get a few more things for the trip. Sheridan walked into the shuttle bay just in time to see what he had bought put on the shuttle. He had given them a short time to deliver, and they were right on time. He herd Delenn and Lennier come in. She was speaking to Lennier so John did not interrupt. Lennier bowed and was about to leave. "Lennier," Sheridan stoped him. "May I speak with you." "Yes of course Captain." he walked over to Sharidan. He handed Lennier the other crystal. John saw the questioned look on his face. "It's where we will be. Michael also has one. Just in case we are needed." With a nod Lennier left. Delenn walked over to Sheridan. "May I ask what you gave him?" Sheridan grined. "Information on where we're going." "Do I get to know?" "Of course." he walked towards the shuttle. "When we get there." I hope you like it. :) The Dream Given Form Pt. 2/? Ivanova turned C and C over to the next shift. She was going to go get something to eat when Garibaldi called her. "Ivanova, go." "Susan, it's Michael, you hungry?" "Well, I am on my way to get something to eat. Why?" "Want some pasta? It's almost done, and I have no one to eat it with." "Sure. You're in your quarters right?" she wasn't sure with him. He would cook anywhere. "Yeah." "I'm coming. Susan out." Before going to Garaibaldi's, Susan went to her quarters and changed out of her uniform. When she made it to Garibaldi's, he had everything set on the table. "This looks good Michael." she commended. "I hope you enjoy it as much as I like to prepare it." he sat down and allowed her to go first. He poured them some cider to drink. "So what do you think." he watched her as she took a bite. "It's great!" she said with a grin. "I should come here to eat more often." "You're always welcome Susan." A strained silence stretched between them. "Um, what happened in C and C?" Garibaldi changed the subject. "I heard the Captain went nuts." "Well, I didn't see all of what went on, but I did see the last part. He told a Centauri ship that he was going to shoot them out of space." "What!? I know he's under a lot of pressure, but that's..." "I know." she broke in. "That's why I called the Doctor." "Do you know what happened to his hand? When I saw him, he had a bandage on it." "What I herd from the Doctor, he hit the wall a few times. He has a few cuts, but that's all." "That's good." After they finished eating, they went and sat on the couch. "Do you know where he is going on his trip?" Susan asked. "Yeah. He's going to some planet that has been deserted. >From the record he gave me, it's a nice place. I just don't know why it was abandoned." "He needs this vacation." "I know, and Delenn will make sure he relaxes." They looked at each other and smiled. "You know, this is a good opportunity for them." she pointed out. "Uh huh, you can tell by watching them that they like each other." "Have you said anything to eather of them about it?" "*No*. I just like watching them." he grined. "I can't wait till they get back." "Why?" "To see what happens. Just think about it. Him and her *alone* for two weeks. If something dosen't happen then, it never will." In hyperspace, Sharidan entered the coordinates for the planet. He then put the ship on autopilot. He got up and moved to where Delenn was at. She was setting at a table going over Ranger reports. He grasped the papers and turned them upside down. He received an uncertain look. "Delenn, on vacation we don't work." he then looked past her. "Although I'm not sure what Minbari *do* on a vacation." he had a questionable look on his face.=7F At that, Delenn giggled. "We enjoy the harmony in nature." "Well then," he said with a smile. "your going to love where we're going." She was stuned. He had shown her many times before that he was a gentle and loving man. But she did not know that he cared about nature. Or did she. The times they were in the garden. *Was that for me, or for him as well.* "Where *are* we going?" "You'll see. We'll be there in 36 hours." he leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes. Defeated, Delenn droped the subject. "John, if you're tired you should go lie down." John was about to dispute untill he noticed how tired he was. He got up and moved towards his room. He turned around and looked at Delenn. "You should get some rest too Delenn." She nodded and walked towards her room. "Have a peacefull rest John." she said softly. "You too Delenn." "Noooooo." Sheridan awoke screaming. He sat up in the bed. His clothes drenched with sweat. He then noticed Delenn standing in the doorway with a concerned look on her face. Relief flooded over him, as he let out the breath he was holding. "John, what's wrong." Delenn said as she walked over to him. "A dream, a very bad dream." he found that he could not look at her. "John," she tried to get him to look at her. She touched his face, and he looked up. She saw the pain and anguish in his eyes. "Tell me about it." The tears started to roll down his face. He was telling her the dream, and did not even know he had stared. **The ground was dark, with shadows covering almost everything in sight. He could see a building off in the distance, and felt compelled to go to it. The building was five stories tall, and as he got closer, he herd a voice. It was coming from inside the building, crying for help. It was Delenn, she needed his help. He started to run. Faster and faster knowing something bad was going to happen. He was twenty-five yards from it when he saw Anna. She had told him to stop, but he couldn't. He had to help Delenn. She lifted some sort of device and pushed a button, then the building exploded. He screamed and woke up.** "Delenn, I don't want to lose you." he looked into her eyes. "I can't lose you. I would not be able to..." She sat down beside him and reached up to stop him. "I'm here John." He slowly reached up to touch her face. Cautious, afraid if afraid that if he touched her she would disappear. Delenn reached up and grabbed his hand to helped him. "See, I'm here." He wraped his arms around her, now afraid to let go. Delenn gently pressed apon him so they could lie down. She would not leave him. He needed her, and she would do all she could to help. ************************************************************** Zathras understand...No Zathras do not understand, but Zathras do. Her head was on his chest, and her arms around him. He could feel her chest move up and down on his. He moved some of her hair that was in her face. "Your so beautiful Delenn, and I've fallen in love with you." he said quietly. He reached up to touch her face, and noticed that his hand was shaking. "Look what you have done to me. I'm a nervous wreck." he gently touched her check. Feeling the warm, softness of it.=7F He closed his eyes and concentrated on her breathing. Her body moving up and down from breathing. The warmth of her body on his. His body started to ache. He wanted to be with her forever. Never letting go. He felt her head move, and opened his eyes. She was staring up at him. He gave her a smile, and she returned it. "I'm sorry about last night." he tried to apologize. "Don't be." she moved up to where their faces were even, then moved her hand up to his face. Her touch was soft and gentle. He found himself lost in her eyes. His thoughts swimming in the *good* dreams of her. Delenn looked into his eyes. The intensity of his gaze made her shiver. He responded by drawing the cover over them, and wrapping his arms around her. Never once did he look away. Their hearts beating faster and faster, they drew closer. *Delenn, help me. I don't want to push.* As though reading his thoughts, Delenn gently pressed her lips on his. A surge went through her body, and she pressed harder. He matched her passion. Not wanting to go to far, too fast. When they separated, he noticed a tear roll down her face. "Delenn?" "I have been wanting to do that for a long time." she said looking down. He put his hand under her chin, and looked into her eyes. "So have I." he said wiping the tear away. ************************************************************** Zathras understand...No Zathras do not understand, but Zathras do. Enjoy. Mild spoiler for WWE! -Space Ace- The Dream Given Form Pt. 4/? They were two hours away from the planet. The time had gone by fast. They had spent most of the time holding each other. Delenn sat meditating on the floor. She was two feet away from the bed, looking towards it, with her eyes closed. Lying on the bed, John watched her. His chin rested on his arms. She had tried to get him to meditate, but he couldn't. He would rather watch her do it. Or at least, watch her. Delenn opened her eyes, and looked into John's. She smiled at him, knowing that he had watched her the whole time. He stood when she did, and wraped his arms around her. She placed her hands on his chest. "We're a little over an hour away." he told her. She acknowledged with a nod. Not much had been said between them the whole day. There was no need to. Their actions told each other what they needed to know. "Hungry?" he asked her. "Yes." "Um, my cooking is terrible, as you know." "I'll do it." she said with a giggle. She went off into the other room, with him following. As she fixed something for them to eat, he watched her. He put every move and sound she made into his memory. As they sat down to eat, he put his elbow on the table and rested his head on his hand. Not looking at the food, but at her, he ate. As Delenn ate, she would look up to see John watching her. It made her smile every time. The power of human emotion had suprised her. Her affection towards him is getting stronger. She loved him. She had found how powerful such an emotion was in humans. She would give her life for him. And on the Whitestar, he said he trusted her with his life. *Humans are such passionate people. How do my people not see this?* "Delenn." she herd him say from the front of the shuttle. She stood up and moved towards where he was at. She had not notice that he had moved. "You'll need to strap in. I'm taking her into the atmosphere." he watched as she straped in. Making sure she was in safe, he took the shuttle in. Delenn watched intently as they pased over a canyon. The water was rising as they moved ahead. She looked into the distant, and saw a cascading waterfall. John set the shuttle down a quarter of a mile away from the waterfall. He went into the cargo hold and retrieved a backpack. "Let's go get a closer look at that waterfall, ah." he smiled at her. "Did you plan all of this?" "Yeah, and it was hard to do. You only gave me an hour." She laughed As they walked they held hands. They would often look towards one another, and giggle when their eyes met. As they neared the waterfall, Delenn noticed the rocks on either side made steps to go up. At about thirty feet was a landing. Also one at fifty feet and at seventy feet. The waterfall itself fell into a pool with rocks behind not under. "How deep is the water?" she asked him. "Deep. I'm not sure how deep though. I've never gotten to the bottom." "You've been in it!" she was suprised. He gave her a curious look. "Are you saying you have never gone swimming before?" "Swimming?" she was confused. "Yeah, you get in the water and...why don't I just show you." he put the backpack down and started undressing. He was about to take his pants off, when he noticed her experssion. "Oh, sorry. I'll swim with them on." he got into the water and swam out a little way. "This is swimming." he swam back and got out. He noticed her suprise. "You havn't done that?" All she could do was shake her head. "Well then, I'll just have to teach you." On the other side of the waterfall, a human was hiding. A wisper from someone, or something unseen could be head only by her. "No. It is not time yet. I will wait for the perfect time." ********************************************************************** Do not touch me in that fasion...We may sometimes look like you... but we *are not* you...never forget that. Here is part 5. Send comments. I'd love to hear what you think. Oh by the way, I'm guessing about Delenn not being able to swim, (I'm sure you knew that.) So don't kill me. :) Anyway, on to the story. -Space Ace- twhite@nemonet.com The Dream Given Form Pt. 5/? They had almost passed the waterfall when John turned to go behind it. "Where are you going?" Delenn was not sure if she should follow or wait. "There is a cave behind the waterfall. When I came here before, this is where I slept." he looked up at the sky. "Come on, I want to show you something." he grabed her hand and pulled her behind the waterfall. He took off the backpack, and retrieved a blanket from it. He spread it out and they sat. "What did you want to show me." Delenn asked. He pointed to the waterfall. "Watch." John leand back on his elbows and watched Delenn. The sun was setting through the waterfall with white light. Then it changed from white to a light pink, orange, purple, dark blue, and black, as the sun went down. "That was beautiful." she said still looking at the waterfall. "Yes, it is." he said silently, still looking at her. She turned and looked at him, then smiled. "Wanna go swimming?" he asked. "At night?" "Yeah, the water is warmer at night." he stood up and got into the backpack. "I have some lights that will float in the water so we can see." he looked up at her. "The only thing is, I don't have anything for you to swim in." he looked defeated "I have something." she said with a smile. "But I will need to go to the shuttle." "Well come on then." he said while reaching out a hand for her to take. His excitement made her jog to the shuttle. While she went and got her things, John went into the cargo hold and retrieved two more backpacks and a crate. "Let me help you." Delenn moved over to him. "Ah, okay. Grab one of the backpacks. You, yourself, have enough to carry." he noticed the bag setting beside her on the floor. He threw on a backpack, and helped Delenn put on the other. He lifted the crate with a grunt. He nodded to a flashlight and indicated for her to go on out, he followed. He set the crate down behind the waterfall, and opened it. He pulled out a few lamps and lit them. He went back to the crate, and retrieved two sleeping bags. When he looked up, he saw Delenn had changed. She had put on a thinner robe. *Well, this will be enteresting.* He reached into one of the backpacks and retrieved a pair of shorts, and went around the corner to change. When he was done, he grabbed Delenn's hand, and the first backpack and went towards the water. As he neared the water he let go of Delenn's hand and started throwing in the lights. Then he jumped in. "Come on in, Delenn," he waved for her. "I don't know how to swim, John." "Come down this way." he started swimming towards a little sandy area. As she reached it he walked out of the water. "This part isn't deep. You'll be able to enjoy the water without swimming." He put his arm around her and picked her up. Cradling her in his arms, he walked into the water. He stoped when the water reached his knees, and sat down, with Delenn on his lap. She did not let go of his neck. She didn't know what to do. She had never been in water like this. John could sence her unease, so he sat there, letting her take her time. A shiver went through her body. *She's scared.* he told himself. He stood back up and carried her out of the water. "Delenn, I'm sorry," the last thing he wanted was her scared. "It's alright John. It's just that I've never been in water like that," she said leaning against him, looking at the water. "You don't have to get in again," he had wrapping his arms around her. "If you stay with me, I'll be fine," she said looking up at him. He wasn't sure what to do. She was scared to be in the water, but willing to go in. "I think we should wait for a while." He picked her up to carry her to the tent. "What about your lights." she said with her head on his shoulder. "You are more important then the lights." he said. "Anyway, they'll be there tomorrow." Inside the tent, John realized something. "You don't sleep horizontally do you." it wasn't a question, because he knew the answer. He thought for a few minutes. "Okay, I have an idea." he gathered the backpacks and laid two on top of each other then one in frount of them. He then spread his sleeping bag out, partiality over the bags. He leaned against the bags and waved for her to lie down. She grabbed the other sleeping bag and laid down. Resting against John. He felt her crest and hair against his chest. The smoothness of her nightgown. The softness of her touch. "It may not be the right angle, but I hope it will do." his voice was low. He could hardly concentrate on anything other then her. "It is fine John. And thank you." she reached for his arm and held it against her. "Um, you're welcome." _____________________________________________________________________ A dream stay's a dream, A dream comes true. A love dies, a love builds. He was amazed at how little she moved while she slep. He would be all over the place. *But for you I will stay still.* He would not wake her. She needed to rest. She was on her side. He could fell her breath on his chest. It was slow and steady. He had moved a lock of hair that had fallen in her face. She looked at ease. *Her dreams must be pleasent. That's good.* He laid his head back, to try to sleep. **Delenn was not sure if she was dreaming, or if what was happening was real. She was being held by John, on the second landing next to the waterfall. He was softly speaking to her. Telling her how much he loved her. He looked up to the third landing and frowned, as though he saw something. He had told her to stay there, and went up the rocks. After a while, he looked down at her like she was not there. Then he jumped. 'John!' ** Delenn awoke in John's arms. She looked up into his face, and saw he was sleeping. She turned and wraped her arms around him. *John, you do not have to show me how much you love me by jumping off a cliff. You show me every time you look at me.* She felt a hand on her back, and looked up. She looked into his eyes. "I thought you were asleep." "I can't," he moved some hair that had fallen in her face. "Why?" she looked worried. "I can't stop thinking about you." he said quietly. She laid her head down on his chest. "I'm sorry." "Hay, don't be," he lifted her head to look into her eyes, "You're worth losing a little sleep over." He moved a hand to her cheek. Traced her lips with his thumb. *Make that a lot of sleep.* Delenn felt the touch of his hand. So strong and gentle. The love for her blazed in his eyes like a star. A star that would never die. John's body started shaking. A shake that would not be noticed, but she could feal it. "John are you all right?" "Uh huh." "Why are you shaking?" his eyes blazed, and she knew. "It's because of me." He nodded. A pained expression went across her face. He pulled her up to where their faces met, "It's because I love you." he said so low she almost didn't hear him. "It happens every time you are near me." "I have never noticed before." He smiled, "That is because I try to hide it. What would others think if they saw me shaking every time you are near me?" "You have a point." she said with a smile. "And, I love you as well." ************************************************************ "Um, I'm going to take a waterfall shower. I'll be right over there," he pointed to and area where it looked like the waterfall had formed an enclosed area for that very reason. She nodded. He moved over to it, and stood under the water. "Ahhh." He felt a pair of hands touch his back, and turned to see Delenn standing there. Her body pressed up against his. "I want to enjoy the water as well." her voice was music in his ears. "Be my guest." he said with a smile. "I'm enjoying it a lot more now." he ran his hands down her bare back and kissed her. _____________________________________________________________________ A dream stay's a dream, A dream comes true. The beautiful golden ray's of the sunrise shined on the lagoon below them. Delenn smiled as she felt John's arms move loosely around her waist. The second landing had a wonderful view of the lagoon and surrounding forest. Delenn smiled again, and leaned back into John's arms. "So, what do you think?" John asked. "It's beaut..." A blast shot out overhead. John moved Delenn out of range of where he thought the shot came from. He looked up at the third landing and saw something. He could not tell who or what, but knew something was there. "Delenn, I want you to stay here. Do not follow me, please." There was a silent plea in his eyes, then he took off up to the next landing. He had no idea on what to expect when he reached the top. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Captain John J. Sheridan." A pleased voice stopped him in his tracks. "I'm so glad you didn't bring your freak with you. It is so much easier this way." "Who are you? What do you want?" Sheridan questioned. "Who I am, well, that really does not matter." an evil grin showed on her face, "but what I want, my dear Captain, is you dead." John had slowly moved towards the edge of the cliff. He looked down and saw Delenn fearfully looking up. John returned his gaze to the woman holding the PPG. "What about Delenn," he feared the worse, "are you going to leave her alone?" A measure of delight flashed upon the woman's face, "Oh, of course. You see, with you dead, I'm sure her 'love' for you will destroy her." She grinned evilly. Delenn looked up once more. The dream she had unfolding before her eyes. *How can I stop what is about to happen?* A shot rang out over head. Her heart ripped into when she was john's body falling. Delenn watched in horror as his body hit the water. She rushed down to the edge of the lagoon. Searching for him. But seeing nothing. "I would kill you as well. But I was only instructed to kill him." The woman sneered. "I could always say it was an accident," she raised her PPG with a grin, "I'm sure my friend would back my story." Delenn bowed her head, *I told you I would meet you beyond the vail my love. In a place where no shadows fall.* She prayed to Valen that Lennier would understand. A shot rang out. Enjoy -TaLynn- The Dream Given Form Pt. 8 The woman collapse to the ground. A PGG shot to the head killed her instantly. Delenn looked up and saw her lying in a heap. She looked to the side and saw John fall to his knees. "John!" she cried out running over to him. John looked up into her eye's and smiled. Then said quietly, "Let's go home." "But John, she spoke of another." "Yes, a shadow. Now that she is dead, lets hope it decided to leave." He stood up shakily. Delenn helped him as they walked to the shuttle. John sit heavily in the pilots seat. His arm throbbing with pain. He had just barley jumped in time before the PPG shot would have hit him full force. Instead he got a singed shoulder. He set the controls to auto pilot them home. Delenn saw how he held his shoulder, "Are you ok?" she asked. "I'm fine, just a little burn." Sheridan walked back to his bunk and lied down. Delenn followed him, and removed his shirt to see his shoulder. Delenn gasped, "This is more then just a little burn, John." "I'll be fine. I just need a little rest. When we get back to Babylon 5, I'm sure the Dr. can fix me right up." He closed his eyes feeling really tired. Delenn opened a med. kit and put some medication on his wound. Then sat next to him, watching, making sure he would be alright. ****************** Sheridan awoke feeling very hungry. He did not know how long he was asleep. He sat up slowly and moved off the bunk. He smelled food and walked into where Delenn was at. She looked up and smiled. "How are you doing?" "Fine, but hungry." Delenn smiled, "Well, I've fixed something to eat." Sheridan sat down at the table. His shoulder felt a little better, but still hurt. He had noticed when he woke up that Delenn had bandaged it up for him. "How far are we from the station?" He asked. He lost all track of time. "About two standard hours." Sheridan sat there stunned. How could he have slept that long. Then he realized how little sleep he had gotten in the last, good Lord knows how long. Delenn put the food on the table and sat down. She watched as he ate, and took little bites herself. After they ate, Sheridan went to the pilot's seat. Soon he will have to explain what happen to the Doctor, and Ivanova. ******************* Ivanova met them in the docking bay. The first thing she noticed was Sheridan's shoulder. "What the hell happen!!" she practically screamed. "It's a long story. I'll tell you after I get it checked out." He and Delenn headed for Med Lab, with Ivanova following not to far behind. "This is a PPG wound." Franklin looked at Sheridan. "What happen?" "I got shot." Sheridan said simply. Franklin gave Sheridan a shot then went on to clean the wound. After he was done he sent the Caption to his quarters for rest. "I want to know what happen." Ivanova said. Sheridan invited her to join him and Delenn. "I'll tell you all I can." In Sheridan's quarters, Delenn went into the kitchenette to fix some tea. Ivanova sat down in a chair, and Sheridan sat on the couch. She waited impatiently for him to speak. "Someone was sent to kill me. Why?... There are many reasons. Who?... There are to many then I would like to admit." Delenn handed him a cup of tea, and one to Ivanova. "I barely got out of it with only a burn. I do know one thing though. Who ever it was, was working for the shadows. I can only guess they want to get rid of me." Ivanova just sat there. Angry, mad, frustrated, but glad he was back in one piece. "Well, I'll leave you to rest then." She got up and left. Sheridan watched Ivanova walk out the door, then turned and looked at Delenn. A smile crossed his lips. He stood and took her in his arms. "Want to get some rest?" he asked her, gazing into her eyes. "You get rest. I will watch." "Watch?" he said questionably. "Yes, its a Minbari ritual." Delenn smiled. Sheridan smiled, "All right." He walked towards the bed and laid down. Delenn set next to the bed and watched him. That night Sheridan found it very hard to go to sleep.
