From: "Julie Burnham" Subject: "Kalle" part 26 (01/01) Date: Sun, 10 May 1998 16:53:37 +0000 Hello all. Thanks to everyone who has written to encourage me to actually finish this darned thing. Title: Kalle part 26 (will this thing ever end? Not yet) Author: Julie Burnham Spoilers: Any previous Kalle part Disclaimer: What's not to understand? I don't own the quote (Delenn from C&L). The other quote is unmistakably Kosh's. Other than that (and Uncle Stephen, whom JMS, et al, own), the characters are, mysteriously, all mine. Summary: Alright, I haven't had one of these in a while. The Continuing Adventures of Kalle Sheridan, as she tries to get off this gravity well they call a planet. Dedication: To Ali Laker for nagging me until I got off my encounter-suited butt to actually finish writing this. Thanks. [AT] [F] Kalle 26 by Julie Burnham ---------------------- Journal Entry - Kalle Sheridan We found the wreckage of some more lifepods. Unfortunately, there weren't any more survivors. I guess it's just us. Erika thinks we'll nrever get out of here alive. My mother always told me, "Faith manages." I have faith that we'll get home. If you believe you can do something, you can. If you believe you can't do something, that belief also comes true. Always have faith in what you can do because faith really does manage. So far, we haven't found anyone native to this place. We did, however, find some metallic parts that might be useful in building something that could get us out of here. We have ourselves our own little Universe here. We're exploring everything here, but it's a bittersweet symphony; sweet because of all the new things to learn, bitter because of the pain that comes with the process of constantly being born. Oscar broke his foot yesterday, so we're making him stay off of it in the hopes that it will heal on its own. None of us here have the medical expertese to properly set his foot, and I've learned through Uncle Stephen that if you don't have the ability, don't pretend to have it. You could end up hurting the patient far worse by doing that. Jake's been really nice to me lately. For that matter, so has Vince. The only person not really nice to me has been Oscar. I think he just misses his home though, which is understandable. It's getting too dark to see. Hopefully we can find some beeswax so that we can make cand so we can see and get some work done after dark. As someone once said, "And so it begins." --------------------------- Jules
