You'll probably figure out pretty quickly who's narrating and what's going on. ________________________________ Z'Ha'Dum I left the ones I've come to love To meet the ones I've come to hate The sky oppresses close above-- no turning back; this is my fate. And the evil hangs in the reddish gloom Here on the Rim, at Z'Ha'Dum. I know for sure this war is bad The scheme of things is twisted, wrong The world is sick; the world is mad My death will help. It won't be long. With the silence loud as a cosmic boom Here on the Rim, at Z'Ha'Dum. So long ago I made this vow My only goal: to find my wife But standing on ground zero now It's not for her I give my life-- But the stench of death is a strong perfume Here on the Rim, at Z'Ha'Dum. So many things I should have done-- "Delenn, Delenn," I want to cry Our love was good, though scarce begun We could be happy, she and I But I know this place is to be my tomb Here on the Rim, at Z'Ha'Dum. I hear a sound, a hellish shriek My mind recoils in quick denial I cannot move, I cannot speak And, closing in, the Shadows smile... Here on the Rim, at Z'Ha'Dum-- I scream and wake in a darkened room. The End Jackie May <102454.540@compuserve.com>
